Welcome to my BLOG

As I welcome all readers to my very first blog, I must confess it has taken me approximately 20 years to put pen to paper, or should I say, fingertips to keyboard. When family and friends suggested I do this all those decades ago, I paid little attention as life had other plans for me. But here I am, led by an exciting sense of purpose and desire to share my thoughts and experiences with authenticity and humility. 

After two decades of life’s twists and turns, my inner knowing has reminded me to focus on the power of connection through the written word. Perhaps this blog is my way of standing proud amidst the sea of tech-savvy influencers and social media stars - a realm I do not, or cannot, compete with. This vast digital world has plenty of room for all of us and I look forward to learning as I go. I embrace the unknown. My hope is to attract those who, like me, cherish the art of reading, the joy of buying books, and the pleasure of getting totally lost in the magic of it all. Those who are fascinated by the concept of time, where life is savoured and not rushed, and the mundane can only be seen as joyful. 

This blog is a tribute to exploring the ideas and experiences I never quite pursued, sharing the lessons I have learned (and still learning), and engaging with the road ahead as I age with grace. I invite you to join me on this personal journey as I delve into all things that intrigue, challenge and inspire me to be the best human I can possibly be. Good morning, everyone! I hope your week has been wonderful as yet another comes to a close.  Before I dive into today’s topic, I would like to address a question from a reader about my posting schedule. My plan is to post weekly, unless there is a request otherwise. The ‘unknown’ aspect of this blog is one of the reasons I started it—to embrace the freedom to write, and discover where it leads me. For now, connecting with my readers by expressing my thoughts and experiences, brings me much joy and motivation to continue.
